The Skullcandy Indie ANC earbuds feature large 12mm drivers, covering a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz; they do not support the aptX codec available on Android, but there is AAC for Apple phones. Bluetooth 5.0 is used for connection to cell phones. This is not the latest Bluetooth standard, but we did not experience any problems with sound interruption when listening on a different floor from the cell phone. For the price, ANC is rather effective with this bud. It sufficiently muffled the traffic and the angry shouts of Londoners so that we could enjoy the music. It doesn’t completely drown everything out, but there is a noticeable difference when it is turned on. When nothing is playing, there is a slight hissing noise. The Skullcandy app for Android and iOS is useful. There is a personal sound mode that measures your hearing and adjusts the audio accordingly. For many users, this will make sense to use, but it is not essential to the operation of the earphones unless the sound is appealing to you. Unfortunately, the EQ mode is limited to three presets, “Movie,” “Music,” and “Podcast,” and cannot be adjusted. The app also allows users to enable or disable noise cancellation and ambient modes. However, there are no parameters to further adjust the ANC or ambient microphone. The earphones offer solid noise cancellation for the price, especially when it comes to eliminating deep low frequencies. As with many lower-priced ANC earphones, there is an added hiss to the signal. In fact, there is a slightly more audible hiss here than usual. This is not an unpleasant sound (think tape hiss or white noise), and even at this fairly noticeable level, most would describe it as faint. Nevertheless, this is a characteristic of cheap ANC. When playing music, you are unlikely to notice any hiss, except during quieter sections. The Skullcandy Indy ANC True Wireless are well-made in-ears with excellent noise isolation; the ANC feature blocks out background noise such as bus and airplane engines and the chatter of people around you. Bass-oriented sound profile adds extra oomph and punch to audio, but can also sound muddy, dark, or veiled Several EQ presets are available in the Skullcandy app 5.1 hours of continuous battery life, though it won’t last all day The portable charging case makes it easy to power up the device on the go. The Skullcandy Indy ANC is ideal for sports and fitness. These well-made headphones have a portable design that makes them easy to take with you on the go. They are stable enough to wear during more strenuous exercise. They have an IPX4 rating for water resistance, although we do not currently have a test for this. However.
