How to get Android notifications on Windows 10 PC/Laptop – Guide
This one feature works through Cortana and the Cortana app for Android (there’s a Cortana app for iOS, but iOS doesn’t support this kind of fancy notification mirroring). Once set, the Windows 10 Action Center can alert you when you miss a call, receive a text message or are low on battery on Android phone. You can also receive app notifications from any app you have installed and can even control your phone from your computer using voice commands – for example, you can say, “Hey Cortana, find my phone” and Cortana will find your phone on a map. You’ll see four different types of notifications that you can sync: Missed Call Notifications, Incoming Message Notifications, Low Battery Notifications, and App Notifications. The first three are enabled by default, but the fourth – app notifications – requires access to the notification before it can be enabled. After enabling this option, you will see a new menu option that allows you to select specific apps to sync (or not sync). All Windows 10 users will have access to Android device updates when the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update rolls out this summer, but now you can subscribe up for the Windows Insider Program. Insiders must be on Windows Update Fast Track to receive Windows 10 Build 14342, which features this feature.
