Guide: How to Play Pokémon GO on PC
If you’re not living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of the latest internet sensation, Pokémon GO, which is based on augmented reality. If you’re not sure, check out our video of the game and read what it’s all about. Now that I got to the point, my sister called my yesterday after watching the video and asked if someone really needs to walk and go out, in real life, to move their avatar in the game. I told her that’s what the game is about and she was mad! The reason was that her 15-year-old wanted to play the game, but she wasn’t ready to let him play because of the risks on the road. She didn’t overreact, but was actually right. It has just been a week since the game was released and we have already heard so many accidents that the game has caused and sometimes I find it dangerous to play in my neighborhood due to the traffic, bad road conditions and of course the not-so-safe world we live in. So today I’m going to show you how to play the Pokémon GO safely on your computer and get the feel of the game at the same time. The process won’t be easy, but don’t worry, I’ll provide a detailed description that you can follow and run without any hassle. So let’s start downloading all the files we need.
Files to download
Download and install BlueStacks Player on your computer. The installation is simple and you just need to follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Once the program is installed, do not start it yet. We will have to download a few more files before we get started.
Download KingRoot APK and LuckyPatcher APK. These apps are used to gain root access on BlueStacks player and then install our app as system app.
Download Mock Locations (fake GPS path) and Developer Options Tool APK.
Finally, download the latest version of Pokémon GO. You can store all of these files anywhere, but Mock Locations must be stored in the Documents folder on your PC.
Preparing BlueStacks Player for Pokémon GO.
Step 1: Open BlueStacks Player and wait for it to initialize. Once that’s done, navigate to the Android tab and click APK on the left sidebar to install KingRoot APK. Once installed, the app can be found in the apps section. Run it once to get root access on the BlueStacks Player.
Step 2: Similarly, install and run the Lucky Patcher app. When prompted for root permissions, accept and close the app. Step 3: Now to install the Location Spoofer app, open Lucky Patcher you just installed and click Rebuild & Install at the bottom. From here navigate to SD card -> Windows -> Documents and click on the Mock Locations app to install it. Make sure to select Install as a System App when prompted by Lucky Patcher.
Step 4: Install Developer Options Tool APK normally and disable the option when you see it is enabled. Also open up the settings menu in BlueStacks and under Location Settings, make sure High Accuracy is selected.
Step 5: Finally, install the Pokémon GO app to play the game.
Playing the game
Once everything is set, open Lucky Patcher and launch the Mock Locations app. After the app launches, press and hold two locations on the map (the area you want to explore in Pokémon GO), which will then be selected. Then click on Play buttonYou will be prompted to select a speed, enter 4 km / h by 1 hour as a limitation modifier here and start the trail. Your Android device will now fetch your device’s location through the app, which is the main ingredient for playing the Pokémon GO game.
Warning: Please note that under the game’s terms and conditions, you are not supposed to falsify your location and this could lead to your account being locked out. So proceed at your own risk. Now start the Pokémon GO game, log in with your Google account and start playing the game. The avatar follows the path you entered in the Mock Location app and you can collect Pokémons, grab items from PokéStops, and also engage in gym battles. Make sure to turn off AR (Augmented Reality) mode and play the game in a virtual environment.
Conclusion
So those were all people, you can now play Pokémon GO on your PC. Make sure you don’t make big jumps on the map or you might get banned for location spoofing. Also disable location of Windows PC if you get location errors while playing the game. But if you have a large park in your area and it is safe there I would insist that you try the game there. It is much more fun that way. READ ALSO: How to Download Pokémon GO on Android and iOS, even if it is not available in your country
