Checks have also been added to the site to prevent hackers from gaining access to your account. “This is something a lot of people are asking for,” Instagram commented. Instagram adds, “We’ve introduced security to help prevent hackers from breaking into your account and deleting content you’ve posted.” So the next time you try to restore or delete anything from Recently Deleted, Instagram may ask you to verify that you are the rightful owner of the account before deleting or restoring it. ”
Like ‘recently deleted’ feature work
Previously, deleted photos, videos, reels and IGTV videos used to be permanently removed and there was no way to recover them. But now, posts that you delete or remove will be automatically moved to the Recently Deleted folder. Deleted stories (those not in your archive) will remain in the folder for 24 hours, while photos, videos, reels and IGTV videos will be permanently deleted after 30 days. So, during those 30 days, you can easily restore your deleted content.
