Guide: Photobucket: Add Night Vision Effect To Photos
One of the important conditions that a photo must meet if you want to add cool effects to it later is natural light. You knew that right? Those snaps you took in the dark and later discovered that none of those so-called effects or filters worked on them … wasn’t a great feeling, was it? Well, it turns out that there is a photo effect specifically assigned to such photos without sunlight (or artificial light for that material). It is called Night vision effect and its name comes from the night vision goggles mainly used by professionals such as forest rangers or men in the armed forces who have to go out at night and cannot afford not to know what is around them. (image credit – dvidshub) This effect can help you improve the features and the wealth of pictures taken at night. However, you can also convert photos taken in full light to night scale. Our guide is a step-by-step process to get this effect on your photo using an online tool called Photobucket. This tool has enormous potential and ‘Nightvision’ (that’s how they write it) is an effect that really amused me. So let’s see how it works.
Steps to add night vision or night vision effect
First and foremost, you need to register and have an account with Photobucket, which you can do by following the link. Then follow the steps below: – Step 1: When you log into your account, you will see a toolbar-like interface. Click Upload to begin (meaning start uploading photos you want to edit).
Step 2: When you upload photos, you can add a title, a short description and some tags. This is not required, but it will help you manage your photos.
Step 3: Then navigate to Albums (as in the toolbar in Step 1) and click on the Edit Photos option. This allows you to select an image to edit (from your album). Step 4: You are now in the editing interface. Follow the Effects tab and scroll right / left with the More button buttons until you find an icon called Nightvision. (Note my first image here).
Step 5: Hit this button and your image will look richer in night colors. Of course, if you’re not satisfied with this, you have advanced options.
Step 6: As you click for Advanced options, a small scrolling tool comes up upYou can adjust the blur, brightness and contrast of the image. And you can choose to apply effects to the whole image, the selected focus or paint the custom area.
Step 7: When you are satisfied and ready, you can proceed to save your work (save a copy or replace the original). The picture below shows my final work.
Conclusion
